The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it really is alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated sassa Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level made for intervention ordeals a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
